The Gist

Hello, lovely people! I’m Peyton Amelia Carter, and you’ve entered a curated glimpse into my creative mind. I am an aspiring textile designer specifically for the fashion industry, currently studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

I have a deep passion for the free-flowing energy of bohemian aesthetics in clothing, but I strive to infuse an edgy twist into my designs. My inspiration stems from the exhilarating sense of freedom and the weight of independence, which allows my work to resonate with a wild rhythm.

For the past year or so I’ve been experimenting with watercolor and colored pencils to create my motifs, as these mediums enable my mark-making to remain gestural and organic. Each piece I produce—whether crafted by hand or digitally printed—embodies the love and
dedication I have for the fibers world. My designs are a celebration of lively chaos, reflecting my journey as a curious human being and the ever-evolving nature of creativity.
